Blizzard of ‘09
SNOW!!! It started snowing yesterday around 2pm in Blacksburg and was still going strong when we went to bed. We woke up this morning to a beautiful white landscape of about 16″ of snow! Luckily we knew the storm was coming so headed out after work on Thursday to get Zakary a snow suit. Here are some photos of us having fun in the snow this morning!
Zakary turns 1!
I know it’s such a cliche’, but wow, time really flies! Zakary turned 1 year old today! It’s hard to believe it’s been an entire year already, but then it’s also hard to imagine what it was like before he was born. We had a busy weekend and today seemed to go on forever, but it was a great first birthday! It’s late and I need to get to sleep, but I just had to share this photo. We thought he’d go nuts with the cake, but he really didn’t get too messy at all! =)
The Park
We took Zakary to the neighborhood park to let him crawl around and play. He mostly sat on the ground throwing tan bark into the air, attacked me as I lay on the ground trying to take his photo, or swung on the swing. The sun was really bright but he didn’t seem to mind too much. He screamed when we went to leave!

Morning Fog
There was a very low dense fog this morning while I was walking the dogs. We got to the end of the walking path behind our house and this is what we saw. I ran back to the house to grab the camera and tripod, but the fog had already started to lift. But, you can see it was still very beautiful!
Random Zakary
Here are some random photos of Zakary for all my visitors that come here just to see him. 
His 1 year birthday is coming up soon and we just finished the invitations today. They should go out in the mail Monday morning, so be ready for a special treat!
